Scan2CAD is a software that transforms raster images into vector graphics, allowing users to load, edit, and print files in AutoCAD. The transformed files can be converted from photo files to DWG format. Here are the steps to use Scan2CAD:
Open Scan2CAD.
Load a raster file or obtain a raster file from a scanner.
Convert the raster file to grayscale. In the "Palette" menu, select "Pick Palette" and choose "Grayscale". (These two steps are essential to ensure the quality of the vectorized file.)
Click F8 to start vectorization.
After vectorization, select "Save" under "File" menu to save the file in DXF format.
Open CAD, select "File Type" and choose DXF format in the "Open File" menu to use the vectorized file in CAD.
For converting PDF to CAD, you can open the PDF with Photoshop and save it as a TIFF file. Then, load the TIFF file with Scan2CAD. You may encounter error messages during loading, but you can ignore them as they do not affect the conversion.
If you need to identify text, you can use the OCR function and save the vectorized file. The OCR function may not be perfect, but it offers many adjustment options.
If you have many files to process, use the batch function (make sure to place the TIFF files in the source directory before starting).

How to Use
